| It's just not worth even trying to keep up with it. I've lost almost all interest in keeping up a web log.
If you need me I can be found on facebook. Yes, they're letting you in without a .edu address. Tons of people from my Church are on there. Much better.
Don't worry...I'm not deleteing my account or anyting so I'll still get your blogs in my inbox every morning. Gotta know who's vacationing where and who's drinking what beverage in the morning.

| In the last month...
I have successfully used the telemarketer script below three times. I have purchased Lost Season 2 and viewed about one-third of it. I volunteered to be activities coordinator for my community group. (Means I plan a one per month activity.) Had my mid-year eval. Went pretty good. Only thing that came up is basically what amounts to a personality conflict with my boss. He didn't put it that way but that's what it is.
More phylsophical and less concrete...
I've used my talents to help a friend who is going away soon. I've been depressed one moment then the life of the party the next. I've become angry with a friend. I've forgiven a friend. I've gone to work about 20 times... ...and been at least five minuets late 20 times.

| In one of my many random strolls through the intraweb I came across this Telemarketer Counterscript. I just used it tonight. I managed to get to asking how much the lady made when she insisted she wasn't allowed to tell me.

| I can rant on here right? I mean it is a blog...blogs are for people who like to...ok we'll stop while I'm ahead. I can rant.
Monday started off pretty good. It slowly deteriorated when people who usually don't have attitudes with me started to develop the habits of being demanding. Wasn't a big deal. Then I was working in the Emergency Operations Center. Working in the EOC is good since you are actually doing something to help people out when there's a pending disaster. And none of it is your responsibility. You're "volunteering". So it's all good. Usually. It got a little hectic today. Bound to happen when the track of a tropical storm showed the gulf coast in its path two days ago and today it's heading for...Virginia Sheesh.
Anyway that wasn't the bad stuff. The bad stuff was in the emails I got that afternoon. Just frustrating the way people approach problems. I mean, how bad is it when you read the first two lines of a message and just know that no matter what you do, someone's going to get PO'd and you're in the middle. Sheesh. Again.
After work I made two attempts at stress release. The first one involved another person who was indisposed. Again. The second one is known as therapeutic purchasing. In this case House Season Two on DVD. Wal-Mart was sold out. I finally settled for therapeutic frozen pizza.
But things are looking up. I went online to walmart.com and it's even cheaper online than at the store. Out of curiosity I check Amazon.com. Exact same price. In fact, since I have 2 day shipping for free with Amazon for the next month and a half, it was even cheaper. So this may not be a drastic improvement in my day but I like the upswing in the trend.
| I have not posted in over a month. No excuses. No apologies.
This weekend, with the help of many friends and even coworkers, I celebrated my 24th Birthday. Spent the day getting ready for a party, getting a massage (Thanks Heather!) and hosting the afore mentioned party. One guy at work asked me if I felt any older. I honestly told him I did not. He said to "wait for it". Little ray of sunshine for me.
Work is going okay. It's not the most exciting thing on Earth but it's not half bad either. Someone I used to work with is leaving the company. It's kind of a shame because she's good at what she does but I hope she'll find something more satisfying. Come to think of it, I actually know quite a few people that are/have changed jobs recently. Is this some kind of late summer trend?
Ok now I'm blathering. If you'd like to comment I do have a question. I took some birthday money and bought a $15 iTunes card. Any song/album suggestions?
